What are cookies, briefly
Cookies are small pieces of data a website can ask your browser to store, typically used to remember who you are between visits, track behaviour for analytics or advertising, or keep you logged in. This site does none of that, so it sets none.
What this site actually does
This is a static page. When you visit it:
- No cookies are set, first-party or third-party
- No browser local storage or session storage is used. (If you install the site as an app, a service worker keeps a cache of the site's own files so it works offline — no personal data, and you can clear it from your browser's site settings.)
- No analytics or advertising scripts run (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar)
- Fonts are loaded from this site's own server, not a third-party font service, so no separate request (and no cookie) is sent to a company like Google as a side effect of rendering text
This page makes no requests to third-party servers. Its three open-source JavaScript libraries (GSAP and Lenis for animation, D3 for the interactive topic map), its fonts and the home page's background video are all served from this site itself, and none of them sets a cookie or transmits anything about you.
If that ever changes
If a future version of this site adds analytics or any other cookie-setting functionality, a proper consent banner — asking before anything is set, not just notifying after the fact — would be added at that point, along with an update to this page and the Privacy Policy.
